NOT YOUR STUDIO’S YOGA FEST
Join us this June for a day full of Alternative Yoga fun.
SATURDAY JUNE 28, 2025 - KENT CITY, MI
🖤 Why Rebel Root?
Because yoga should be for everyone—not just for the polished, the picture-perfect, or the palatable. We’re here to smash stereotypes, honor diversity, and make space for witches, goths, queers, punks, neurodivergents, and all who dance to their own rhythm.
🦇 Who Should Come?
This is for the seekers, the healers, the dreamers, and the disruptors. It’s for those who’ve ever felt like yoga wasn’t meant for them. It’s for YOU—the unapologetic, the bold, and the beautifully different.
7 Unique Experienced ALL in one space. Join us for a day of yoga, breathwork, cacao, ecstatic dance, and more.
Location: Howard Christensen Nature Center in Kent City, MI
Howard Christensen Nature Center (HCNC) is a 135-acre natural sanctuary in Kent City, Michigan, dedicated to environmental education and community engagement. Established in memory of Howard Christensen, the center offers diverse habitats, walking trails, and educational programs for all ages. This event, however, is ADULT ONLY - NO CHILDREN - NO EXCEPTIONS.
We believe in creating experiences where you can fully unplug, reconnect with yourself, and engage in deep rest, movement, and magic without needing to be “on” for anyone else. This adult-only gathering invites you to show up as you are, explore freely, and share space with other spirited humans in all our messy, beautiful complexity.
❂ Rebel Roots Yoga Fest – FAQ ❂
Is this event for adults only?
Yes — this is an 18+ gathering. We’re creating a space for adults to rest, stretch, howl, heal, and connect without the added responsibilities of caregiving or filtering. It’s your time to just be you.
Is this an overnight or camping festival?
Nope — this is a one-day event, not an overnight or camping festival. We will not have accommodations or camping on-site. We recommend finding a cozy local place to stay or making it a day trip.
Will food be provided?
Yes — we’ll be offering light, community-style meals and snacks throughout the day. The food will be simple and nourishing, but if you have allergies, dietary restrictions, or strong preferences, please bring what you need to feel safe and sustained. We fully support you taking care of yourself.
Is this a sober space?
Yes. Rebel Roots is a sober and substance-free space. We want everyone to feel present, clear, and safe — and that means showing up without alcohol, cannabis, or other mind-altering substances.
